How do I get to Riddiford Garden?

Based in the Lower Hutt CBD, you can access Riddiford Garden from Laings Road, Queens Drive and Woburn Road.

We recommend taking public transport to get to HighLight, but if you do decide to drive the Riverbank car park is a good option for parking. There is limited street parking available. Mobility parking is located on Laings Road and also in the War Memorial Library car park.

Should we have dinner before we come?

There will be a selection of delicious food trucks available as well as three on site cafes, and other eateries in walking distance throughout the CBD area. You’re also welcome to bring a picnic.

How accessible is the event?

Most paths are suitable for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility, however it is recommended that you have assistance if possible as some surfaces may prove difficult.

Is it safe for my kids to run around on their own?

We have taken every safety precaution in the preparation of HighLight to ensure a safe event for all, however we remind parents and caregivers that you do need to supervise your children at all times.

What happens if I lose my kids, or find a lost child?

Please report lost/found children to one of the coloured info booths where our staff will be able to help. These are clearly located on the map.

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs, but on this occasion please leave them at home. Absolutely no dogs between 7pm – midnight.

I’d like to donate to Alzheimers Wellington, where can I do this?

Collectors will be out and about on all four nights so please give generously. If you can’t find a collector please go to one of the coloured info booths which are also collection stations.

How do I bid on a playhouse from Imagination Alley?

You’ll need to register to bid on a playhouse. You can do this by heading along to the Professionals Lower Hutt auction registration table next to the Main Stage at 7.30pm on Sunday 22 October.
